Jamshedpur: Narbheram Hansraj English School (NHES) observed World Decarbonization Day on June 25, 2026, with a creative poster-making competition for all sections of Class VII.
The competition organized by the school’s Science Club saw the participation of 60 students, who were divided into 15 teams. The participants designed thought-provoking posters that illustrated the harmful impact of excessive carbon dioxide emissions on the ecosystem and highlighted the urgent need for sustainable living.
The initiative aimed to educate students on critical environmental issues, including climate change, global warming, and actionable strategies to reduce carbon emissions. Through their artwork, the students advocated for a transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources like solar, wind, and hydropower.
The event also underscored individual accountability in lowering carbon footprints to safeguard the planet for future generations.
School officials noted that the event serves as a reminder of the shared global responsibility to protect the environment. The students’ creative outputs reflected both their growing awareness of environmental challenges and a collective commitment to a sustainable future.
