Jamshedpur, April 22: Narbheram Hansraj English School (NHES) celebrated Earth Day 2025 with a range of meaningful activities aimed at fostering awareness and appreciation for the Earth’s resources. This year’s theme, ‘Our Power, Our Planet’, inspired both students and staff to contribute actively towards environmental protection.
As part of the celebration, NHES has introduced eco-friendly practices such as switching off lights and fans for five minutes twice a week. Additionally, leftover water from students’ bottles is being collected and used to water plants—an effort to instill water conservation habits among students.
The junior section put up a vibrant and engaging presentation to express their support for environmental protection. Meanwhile, the senior section participated in an environmental quiz session organized by the school’s Science Club. The session aimed to sensitize students to environmental challenges and encourage proactive efforts to safeguard the planet.
Science Club moderators Tr. Manju V and Tr. Shikha led the initiatives. School Principal Paramita Roy Chaudhury lauded the efforts, highlighting the importance of nurturing environmental consciousness among young learners.
