Jamshedpur, April 23: Loyola School, Telco ushered in the academic year 2025–26 with its Grand Investiture Ceremony, a momentous occasion celebrating the spirit of leadership, dedication, and responsibility. The ceremony marked the official induction of newly elected student leaders and set the tone for the year ahead.
Hosts Shriyanshi Dwivedi and Anant Ghosh welcomed the gathering. A multi-faith prayer was observed during the assembly to pay homage to the departed soul of Pope Francis, reinforcing the school’s commitment to cultural harmony and secular values.
In the presence of Principal Charanjit Osan, School Administrator Father Gerry, Father Pius, and senior coordinators, the newly appointed Head Boy Lakshya Verma and Head Girl Nirja Tiwari were ceremoniously handed the school flag, badges, and sashes and the moment stood as a powerful symbol of trust, legacy, and the passing of responsibility to the next generation of leaders.
The flag handover was followed by the appointment of Beadles and Councillors from Classes 1 to 10, along with the distribution of badges to House Captains and Vice-Captains. The Oath-Taking Ceremony was led by the Head Boy and Head Girl. Together with their fellow representatives, they pledged to uphold the values of duty, integrity, and service.
In their speeches, both student leaders inspired their peers to lead with unity and fairness. Anant Ghosh eloquently remarked, “Hearty congratulations to our emerging leaders, to whom the baton is now passed. We await your leadership filled with hard work, compassion, and fairness.”
Principal Charanjit Osan, in her address, emphasized that leadership, discipline, and service were not just ideals but the foundation of practical life. She urged the student leaders to uphold the dignity of their roles and to be torchbearers of the school’s proud tradition.
Student representative Asiya delivered the vote of thanks, expressing heartfelt gratitude to the school leadership, faculty, and all who made the ceremony a success. Special acknowledgment was given to teachers Harmesh Kalindi and Khushboo for their contributions.
The event concluded with the rendition of the Loyola Anthem by the school choir under the guidance of Saurabh. The Head Boy formally concluded the event with the announcement of dispersal.
