Jamshedpur: National Highway 75 was blocked for several hours near Chakradharpur after a police officer beat up a rural medical practioner on Saturday.
The situation was controlled after cops charged the agitators with cane. Sources said the officer in-charge of Toklo beat up a rural medical practitioner late yesterday night on charges of treating Naxalites.
This led villagers to resort to agitation. The injured practitioner was taken to Chaibasa Sadar Hospital.
