Kairav Abduction: Co-Conspirator Seeks Anticipatory Bail

Jamshedpur: Saad Alam, a resident of Nalanda and a close associate of the fugitive main conspirator Tajinder Pal Singh (Ludhiana), has filed an anticipatory bail application in court regarding the kidnapping of young entrepreneur Kairav Gandhi from Bistupur CH Area. The court has scheduled the hearing for March 25 and has directed the Bistupur Police Station to produce the case diary.

Meanwhile, the CJM court rejected the bail pleas of Guddu Singh (Nalanda) and Arjun Singh (Gaya), who are currently in judicial custody. The police have already recorded the victim’s statement in court, where Kairav Gandhi recounted his ordeal. Authorities are now preparing for a Test Identification Parade (TIP) of the arrested accused.

Background of the Conspiracy

Investigations reveal that Tajinder Pal Singh and Sad Alam were the masterminds behind the kidnapping. Alam allegedly introduced Singh to other accomplices, including Mohammad Imran, Guddu Singh, and Upendra Singh, to hatch the plan. After the abduction, Alam reportedly fled to Dubai with Tajinder Pal Singh but returned after a short stay.

Police are yet to arrest Alam, Tajinder Pal Singh, and another suspect, Rupesh Paswan (Gaya). While 11 suspects have been apprehended so far, five to six others remain at large.

The Incident

Kairav Gandhi was kidnapped on January 13 near the Sonari-Kadma Link Road roundabout, just 100 meters from his residence. After spending 13 days in captivity, he returned home on the 14th day following police intervention. His father, Devang Gandhi, had lodged the official complaint at the Bistupur Police Station.
