NGO demands road construction in Devnagar

Jamshedpur: City-based outfit Yuva Jagruti Manch has demanded construction of a road linking the community building in Devnagar to the local culvert by the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee.

The outfit members met the deputy commissioner (DC) of East Singhbhum Dr Amitabh Kaushal on Monday in this connection and sought fulfillment of the demand as early as possible.

The outfit president Prince Singh said the JNAC authorities had raised the road issue in the meeting of the plan selection committee meeting. But the plan was not approved till date. He said the residents of the locality had long been suffering due to the poor condition of the road. If the road is constructed, it will lead to much convenience among the residents, he said.

Another outfit member Rakesh Sahu was also present during the meeting with the DC.
