New Jamshedpur SDO Shatabdi Majumdar takes charge, prioritizes law and order

Jamshedpur, Sep 22: Shatabdi Majumdar has officially taken charge as the new Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) of Dhalbhum, succeeding Parul Singh. The transition occurred smoothly on Sunday, following the completion of necessary paperwork. Majumdar, a 2020 batch officer, previously served in Jamshedpur as a PDI (Public Distribution Inspector), making her familiar with the local landscape. During the handover, she received a warm welcome from Singh, who presented her with a bouquet.

In her inaugural remarks, Majumdar emphasized that her top priority would be to enhance the law and order situation in the city. She acknowledged the critical role that community cooperation plays in achieving this goal. “Following the government’s guidelines, we will make every effort to address the concerns of Jamshedpur residents,” she stated.

Outgoing SDO Parul Singh reflected positively on her six-month tenure, expressing gratitude for the support she received from the community. “I completed my work with full honesty, and I hope that Shatabdi Majumdar will receive even more support from the people of Jamshedpur,” she remarked.
