Jamshedpur, Sep 22: A shocking theft occurred in the Ulidih Tank Road area of Mango, where thieves managed to steal valuables worth lakhs from Abhishek Srivastava’s residence while the family slept upstairs. The incident took place during the night when heavy rainfall caused waterlogging in the house, prompting the family to seek refuge on the roof.
Abhishek Srivastava reported the theft to BJP leader Vikas Singh, who visited the site to assess the situation. According to Abhishek, the family was alerted when his wife heard a noise around 1:30 AM. Upon attempting to investigate, they discovered that the door was locked from the outside. After several unsuccessful attempts to open it, Abhishek broke down the door and went downstairs, only to find the home ransacked.
The thieves made off with approximately Rs 20,000 in cash, a smartphone, gold jewelry, and other valuables. Vikas Singh criticized the police for their inability to apprehend the thieves, stating that illegal activities in the area contribute to such incidents. “Anti-social elements exploit the situation, and thefts occur daily, yet the police fail to catch them,” Singh lamented. The incident has reignited concerns over security in the area, prompting calls for greater vigilance and police action.
