Jamshedpur, Apr 8: NEP director Jyotsana Singh inspected the newly constructed 50-bed rural hospital in Dhalbhumgarh block built at an estimate of Rs 1.5 crore and found cracks on the walls of the building indicating poor quality of construction and submitted a report to the deputy commissioner.
Cracks were also noticed under the windows and beams and the structure has been built without filling up holes which can lead to waterlogging during rainy season. The rural hospital was constructed by M/s New Bharat Constructions under the supervision of special division.
Significantly, there have been complaints of poor quality of Birsa Awas houses in Potka block in Tangrain panchayat and the houses have developed crack in less than a year of construction.
