Five nabbed for seeking levy in Maoist’s name

Jamshedpur, Apr 8: Five accused  in seeking levy in the name of Maoist Shyam Sinku were nabbed by a police team led by Mosaboni DSP Chandrasekhar Azad from different parts of the state. 

Addressing media, Mosaboni DSP, informed that the nabbed accused include Nidhiram Hembrom,  resident of Hathibadi village in Chakulia, Suraj Prakash Jha, a resident of Sai Apartment in Adityapur, Shashi Bhusan Bharati, a resident of Baliguma Bagan Area under MGM thana and Purna Chandra Hembrom and Shoukat Pani, both resident of Jambani in Jhargram district of Bengal while Suraj Nayak of Dumaria is still absconding and police are trying to nab him too. 

On the basis of confession of Nidhiram Hembrom police have recovered a countrymade pistol from the farm house of the accused at Chakulia. 
Incidentally, a complaint was lodged by Arjun Sao alias Gobra Sao, a resident of Ichadih under Dumaria thana that on his mobile number a call had come from an unknown person seeking levy of Rs 3 lakh in the name of Maoists and threatened of dire consequences and blasting of landmine if the levy is not paid. Frightened Arun Sao arranged Rs 1 lakh ahd handed it over to two persons near Maheshpur culvert on March 19.

However on April 4 when they demanded the remaining amount he picked up courage and informed the Dumaria thana. Thereafter, police traced the number from which the call came to that of Jamboni in Jhargram district and located the SIM card seller and caught the SIM seller Purna Chandra Hembrom and Shoukat Pani who claimed that the SIM card was purchased by paying exorbitant amount. 

All the accused have admitted of seeking levy in the name of Maoist Shyam Sinku.
