Jamshedpur: The district administration held a high-level meeting to ensure malpractice-free conduct of the upcoming NEET-UG 2026 exam on June 21. During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner Rajiv Ranjan stated that the administration will deploy only government employees as exam invigilators.
DC Issues Strict Directives for Security and Amenities
Ranjan directed officials to ensure efficient crowd management, smooth city traffic, and robust security arrangements. The administration will deploy magistrates and police personnel at major intersections and outside exam centres for crowd control.
Key measures ordered by the administration include:
- Mandatory Videography: Officials will videograph the entire examination process.
- Thorough Frisking: Security personnel will strictly frisk all candidates before entry.
- Centre Sealing: Authorities will completely sanitize and seal all exam centers a day before the test.
- Basic Facilities: The DC instructed centres to guarantee uninterrupted power supply, clean drinking water, and functional toilets.
Exam Schedule and Logistics
According to official data released during the meeting, eight examination centers across six educational institutions will host over 4,000 candidates in the city.
- Exam Timings: 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM
- Entry Window: 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM (The administration will bar entry after 1:30 PM under any circumstances).
