Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren will distribute appointment letters to 1,018 newly selected teachers on June 29 at a programme to be held at the Project Building Auditorium. The event is being organised by the School Education and Literacy Department and is being viewed as a significant step in the state government’s efforts to strengthen recruitment and employment generation.
The selected candidates have been recommended by the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) for appointments in primary schools (Classes 1 to 5) and middle schools (Classes 6 to 8) across the state.
Officials said the district-level counselling process for all 1,018 candidates has already been completed following the recommendations received from the commission. The appointment letters will formally pave the way for their induction into the state’s school education system.
The government expects the recruitment to help address teacher shortages in government schools and improve the quality of education at the primary and middle school levels. The programme will be attended by senior officials of the School Education and Literacy Department along with the selected candidates.
