NEET-UG 2026 Refund Link Opens: How to Claim Fees by May 27

NEW DELHI (IANS): The National Testing Agency (NTA) launched an online refund portal today for candidates who took the cancelled NEET-UG 2026 examination on May 3. Students must submit their bank account details through the official website by May 27 to claim their examination fee.

According to the official notification, the NTA embedded the refund link directly into the NEET-UG 2026 registration portal. Candidates must log in using their application credentials to complete the process.

To secure the refund, applicants must provide the account holder’s name, bank name, account number, and IFSC code. The agency also allows applicants to upload a scanned copy of a cancelled cheque to ensure accuracy.

The NTA warned that it will treat all submitted bank details as final and will block any subsequent corrections or modifications. Therefore, officials advise candidates to verify all information carefully before hitting submit.

• Submission Deadline: May 27, 2026, at 11:50 P.M.
• Re-examination Date: June 21, 2026, from 2:00 P.M. to 5:15 P.M. (IST)

The refund rollout follows the NTA’s decision to scrap the May 3 medical entrance exam amid allegations of a widespread question paper leak and systemic irregularities. The unfolding controversy triggered massive protests from students and parents nationwide, prompting the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to launch a full-scale probe.

Investigators allege that individuals breached exam security, accessed the question paper prematurely, and sold it to candidates. So far, law enforcement agencies have arrested 11 individuals linked to the paper leak racket.

As the NTA prepares for the upcoming June 21 re-examination, administrators urge candidates to check the official NTA website regularly for further updates regarding both the refund process and test-day logistics.
