Major Exam Reform: Kolhan University Adopts Centralized Evaluation System For Transparency

In a major overhaul of its examination system, Kolhan University has officially implemented a Centralized Evaluation System to ensure absolute transparency and fairness in checking answer sheets. Under this new mandate, the old practice of allowing teachers to take answer scripts home for evaluation has been permanently abolished. Instead, all answer sheets will now be evaluated at a single, designated evaluation center.

The reform is being spearheaded by the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Anjila Gupta, who has made streamlining the university’s academic and administrative frameworks her top priority.

Goodbye to a Pandemic-Era Loophole

According to university officials, the practice of checking copies at home was introduced as a temporary relaxation during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, even after normalcy returned, the practice continued. This raised continuous concerns regarding the confidentiality, security, and impartiality of the marking process.

A Kolhan University official confirmed that the transition has already begun successfully. “The evaluation of the recently concluded B.Ed. Semester III examinations was entirely conducted under this new centralized framework, and the trial was highly successful,” he stated.

He further noted that the university had been lacking a permanent Vice-Chancellor for the past two years, which severely delayed these critical reforms. Following the appointment of Prof. Anjila Gupta, the university administration has moved rapidly to clean up the examination system.
