Navgraha Shanti Puja performed at Sidhgora Balaji Temple

Jamshedpur, March 6: On the fourth day of the grand Brahmotsav celebrations, a Navgraha Shanti Puja was performed at Sidhgora Balaji Temple. The ritual was attended by all temple members, who participated in the traditional ceremonies.

Temple Chairperson Kamala Sharma emphasized the significance of worshiping the Navgrahas (nine planetary deities), stating that it brings happiness, prosperity, and success in life. “We conducted this puja for the peace and prosperity of the entire Jharkhand state,” she added. The puja was conducted with full Vedic rituals, including the chanting of mantras by priests. As part of the offering, nine types of grains—wheat, rice, chickpea, green gram, Bengal gram, white beans, black oil seeds, horse gram, and black gram—were used in the rituals.

Several devotees, including Kamati K. Padma, Bhanu, Soni, Sadhana, Ramadevi, Parvati, Uma, Aruna, Lata, Durga, Pramila, Lakshmi, and others, participated in the havan, making it a spiritually enriching event.
