Chaibasa, October 19: Two-day national sports cluster level of Jamshedpur region DAV schools, hosted by Surajmull Jain DAV School Chaibasa concluded on Wednesday.
The chief guest of the concluding ceremony, DAV school Jhinkpani Principal, R K Sinha said that games and sports help in the all-round development of the students and it inculcates a feeling of unity and discipline.
The champions in the Badminton competition for boys were Dav NIT while DAV Bhandaridih was the runner-up. The best performer award went to Ashutosh Akash from DAV NIT whereas in Girls category DAV Bistupur was the winner followed by DAV NIT. The best performer award went to Adrit Patro of DAV Bistupur.
In the table tennis competition for boys- DAV Bistupur was the winner while DAV Chaibasa claimed the second spot. The best player award went to PL Teja of DAV Bistupur.
In the Chess competition for Boys DAV Bistupur was the winner followed by NIT and in girls category- DAV Bistupur claimed the first spot while DAV Surya was the runner-up. The best player award went to Arisha Sirja. The principal Rekha Kumari congratulated the winners and extended the vote of thanks.
