National Panja League promotes drug awareness in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand Education Minister participates

Jamshedpur, Jan 11: The two-day National Panja League Jamshedpur Chapter, aiming to raise awareness about the ill effects of drug addiction among the youth was organised at JRD Sports Complex on Saturday. The event was jointly organized by the Accelers Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), Raj Brothers, and D-Foundation.

Jharkhand State Education Minister Ramdas Soren inaugurated the event as the chief guest, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives. “Youth are the backbone of our nation, and safeguarding them from the dangers of drug addiction is our collective responsibility,” he said.

Former MLA Kunal Sarangi, guest of honour, praised the organizers’ efforts. “This campaign is not just about sports; it is about creating a healthier future for our younger generation,” he remarked. Special guests included ACCI Director Raviraj and corporate face Indrajit Ghosh.

Around 100 young men and women from Jamshedpur participated in the tournament, showcasing their strength and commitment to the cause. The organizers highlighted their ongoing drug de-addiction campaign, initiated in 2022, which involves seminars, webinars, and various activities to combat substance abuse in Jamshedpur and beyond.

Ritu Raj, Director of Raj Brothers, expressed satisfaction with the event. “We aim to blend sports and awareness, motivating youth to lead a life free of addiction,” he stated.
