Jamshedpur: DAV Public School, Bistupur, conducted manual lottery for Nursery admissions for the 2025-26 academic session on January 11. The event was held in the presence of LMC members and Sweta Kumari, a representative of DSE/DEO as an observer to ensure a fair and transparent process.

The lottery was conducted for 90 seats under the General category, while 30 seats were reserved for students from the BPL category, totaling 120 seats. Key dignitaries, including P. Sofat, President of the LMC, Honorary Treasurer Ravindra Talwar, Secretary R.K. Sethi, and other senior members attended virtually. Present at the venue were Satish Kumar Singh, General Secretary of Tata Workers Union, Advocate Harjeet Singh, Principal Bivekanand Ghosh (DAV Public School ACC Jhinkpani), LMC teacher representatives Jaya Chakraborty and Sujata Mukherjee, parent representative Nidhi Singh, and parents of six applicants.

Principal Pragya Singh explained the manual lottery system, emphasizing the school’s commitment to fostering listening, speaking, and analytical skills in students from an early stage. She highlighted the importance of holistic education and the school’s efforts to nurture future-ready global citizens.

The lottery process was conducted seamlessly, reflecting the transparency and fairness of the admission process. The final selection list and a video of the lottery will be available on the school’s website on January 18, 2025.
