Jamshedpur, May 25: The mysterious death of Vinay Singh, National Vice President and State President of Kshatriya Karni Sena, remains unsolved nearly a month after his body was found in a field at Gaudgoda on April 20. Singh, a resident of Mango Aastha Space Town, was discovered with a pistol near his left hand and a mobile phone placed unusually close to his body. The police are yet to determine whether it was murder or suicide.

Several puzzling details have raised questions. According to police, gunpowder residues were found on Singh’s right hand, but the pistol was found near his left hand. A piece of paper was discovered underneath the pistol, suggesting it might have been placed deliberately. The mobile phone found near his shoulder had all call data deleted and investigators are awaiting detailed mobile data.

MGM Police Station officials said, “More than 60 suspects have been questioned, but the exact sequence of events on April 20 in the Gaudgoda field remains unclear.” Police are also scrutinizing the person who allegedly gave Singh the pistol, who was released after questioning, sparking further doubts.

Another angle under investigation involves Singh’s financial status. He was reportedly under debt, with loans from banks and businessmen and held a term insurance policy worth Rs. 1 crore. Authorities are probing who knew about this insurance.

The Kshatriya Karni Sena has expressed strong dissatisfaction with the slow progress. National President Dr. Raj Shekhar issued a stern ultimatum demanding the arrest of the culprits by the end of May and warned of protests otherwise. Former MP Anand Mohan, during a condolence meeting in Aastha Space Town, appealed to the Governor and Chief Minister for a CBI probe into the case.

The investigation is ongoing, with the police awaiting crucial mobile data to unravel the mystery behind Vinay Singh’s untimely death. Overall in this regard it can be said that the case of Vinay Singh’s death remains a mystery even after a month and the police are empty handed.
