30 tests conducted in free child heart disease diagnosis camp

Jamshedpur, Oct 29: A free pediatric cardiology camp was organized by Jharkhand Prantiya Marwari Yuva Manch (JPYM) in which, 30 children were examined, out of who eight were reported to be in need of cardiac surgery. The Marwari Yuva Manch (MYM) has undertaken to get the surgeries of the children done with support of other organizations. The JPYM has already provided Rs 50,000 for the heart surgery of a Hazaribagh child who will be operated upon at Max Super Specialty Hospital in New Delhi.
This camp was organized at RBS Hospital in Bariatu by MYM Ranchi unit. Dr. Neeraj Awasthi of Max Super Specialty Hospital, New Delhi and his team were the chief doctors in the camp. They were welcomed by the President of the Forum, Deepak Goenka and the Provincial Coordinator of Health and Mission Cancer, Jagriti, Parul Chetani with bouquets.
Dr. Neeraj Awasthi examined the children and gave many important information. He explained that the problem of hole in the heart of children was called Congenital Heart Defect (CHD) in medical terminology. “To diagnose this disease, physical examination and some special tests are conducted and depending on its severity, treatment is done, one of which is surgery and if treated on time, this disease is curable,” Dr Awasthi said.
Director of RBS Hospital, Amar Singh, while appreciating the Marwari Yuva Manch, said, “We should all work together to protect the society and always be ready for this type of service.”
Parul Chetani headed the team of organizers that included JPMYM President Nand Lal Agrawal and State General Secretary Arun Gupta, Sunny Tibrewal and Sparsh Chaudhary. On this occasion, outgoing provincial president of Ranchi branch Abhishek Agarwal, former president of the forum Vinay Agarwal, Praveen Jain Chhabra, former president of women’s dedication branch Kiran Khaitan, Meena Tywala, president Dimple Agarwal, Shweta Bhalla outgoing president Manish Lodha, vice president Amit Chaudhary, Vikas Agarwal, Sachin Motika, Amit Sharma and others.
