MYM Steel City Surbhi branch organizes mass marriage for 5 poor Hindu girls in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: In a heartwarming gesture, Marwari Yuva Manch Steel City Surbhi Branch organized a mass marriage for five economically disadvantaged Hindu girls at a temple in Sakchi. The event was graced by several prominent guests, including Purnima Das Sahu, MLA of Jamshedpur East, Arun Gupta, Provincial President Youth, Sarthak Agarwal, Provincial General Secretary Youth and Abhishek Agarwal (Goldy), President of East Singhbhum District Agarwal Conference.

The five couples, who were given a fresh start in life through this initiative, include Sonu Paan and Anjali Patro, Dev Pipe and Sangeeta Bagh, Mukesh Tandi and Kusum Maanda, William Tirkey and Baby Mahanand and Anurag Bhuiya and Isha Bhuiya, who all hailing from Varti village near Jamshedpur. The wedding ceremony was conducted by the President of Purohit Samaj, Pandit Vipin Jha and his team, following Hindu customs and rituals.

Branch President Kavita Agarwal shared that the initiative aimed to help these girls from financially weak families, providing them with not only the wedding ceremony but also essential household items. The branch gifted the couples a variety of items, including bed sets, sarees, salwar suits, kitchen utensils, clothes for the groom, silver coins, mangalsutras, watches and more.

The Kanyadan was performed by several community members, including Shri Santosh Rekha Agarwal, Shri Naresh Preeti Agarwal, Shri Bijay Chandra Moonka and others. The marriage ceremony included traditional rituals like the baraat, varmala and perwani, along with music, dance and joyous celebrations.

Food arrangements were made for the family members of the couples and the community members present. The event saw attendance from several local dignitaries and community supporters, including Santosh Agarwal, Om Prakash Ringasiya, Shankar Singhal, Nand Kishore Agarwal and many more.
