Jamshedpur: In celebration of International Women’s Day, a grand Holi Milan ceremony will be held in Jamshedpur East Assembly to honor and unite women. The event, aimed at providing a platform for women to showcase their achievements while celebrating culture and mutual harmony, will take place on Saturday, March 8, at 5:30 pm at the Surya Mandir complex in Sidhgora.
The ceremony, initiated by MLA Purnima Sahu, is a significant step in promoting the respect and unity of women in the region. “The purpose of this event is to offer a platform for the women of this area to celebrate their achievements while enjoying our culture, traditions and unity,” said MLA Purnima Sahu. She further emphasized that all mothers and sisters of the Eastern Assembly have been respectfully invited to join the celebration, which will include colors of Holi, Fagua songs, music and traditional dishes.
In preparation for the event, continuous meetings are being held by the Mahila Morcha to ensure its success. A key meeting, chaired by Rupa Devi, the Mahila Morcha President of BJP Baridih Mandal, was held on Thursday, where detailed discussions and planning took place. During the meeting, several women also contributed suggestions to enhance the event’s grandeur.
“The Holi Milan ceremony will not only celebrate the spirit of unity but also showcase the strength of women in our community,” added Rupa Devi. The Mahila Morcha Mandal leaders, including Urmila Das, Bimla Sahu, Sanjana Sahu, Sudha Yadav and Seelu Sahu, are actively working to ensure the event’s success.
