Jamshedpur: The Mukhiyas of Gamharia Panchayat committee have boycotted the montly meeting convened at the local block headquarters. They have given a written information in this regard to the Deputy Commissioner of Seraikela-Kharsawan, Chhavi Ranjan.
Leading the agitating Mukhiyas, the Prakhand Pramukh Amrita Tudu said the BDO of Gamharia had held just three meetings of the panchayat committee in the last seven months. The projects passed in the meetings have not been implemented till date, she said.
Tudu alleged that the panchayat committee members are not given information about projects and schemes taken up in the monthly meetings. In view of the apathetic attitude of the block officials, the Mukhiyas have decided to boycott the meetings, she said.
The agitating Mukhiyas included Rani Mahato, Bheem Hansda, Bhado Murmu, Honi Singh Munda, Ajit Singh, Asha Mahato, Sarita Devi, Shakuntala Devi and Chhavi Rani Sardar.
