Jamshedpur: Members of Mukhi Samaj Vikas Samiti, Burmamines, have alleged that the community is being deprived of the benefits of various government welfare schemes.
Many members of the community are not getting the benefits of old age and widow pension scheme, Indira Awas Yojana, scholarship scheme and Ladli Laxmi Yojana, alleged Mahesh Mukhi, president of the outfit, while speaking to scribes following a meeting on Wednesday.
He said the outfit members will soon gherao the office of the deputy commissioner (DC) and hand over a memorandum addressed to the state government to the DC.
Among others present during the meeting included Mukesh Mukhi, Ravi Mukhi, Rakesh Mukhi and Rohan Mukhi.
