Jamshedpur, June 28: Mukesh Mittal, President of the Purvi Singhbhum Zila Marwari Sammelan (PSZMS) and former Vice President of the Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), has written to Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, providing three suggestions for establishing a direct train service from Tatanagar to Jaipur.

Mittal emphasized that many residents from Rajasthan and surrounding areas lived in the Kolhan region, including Jamshedpur. He highlighted the longstanding demand for a direct rail link between Tatanagar (Jamshedpur) and Jaipur.

In his first suggestion, Mittal proposed extending trains 12403 and 20403 from Prayagraj Junction to Bikaner Junction, which currently ran on different days of the week. Both trains had long halts at Prayagraj and could be extended to Tatanagar to provide direct service to Alwar, Jaipur, Ringas, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, and Bikaner.

The second suggestion involved rerouting one of the existing trains from Howrah to Jaipur (trains 12987, 12307, 12496, and 22307) via Tatanagar three days a week.

The third suggestion was to introduce a new Duronto Superfast Express from Howrah to Jaipur via Tatanagar, operating three days a week.

Mittal noted that there was presently no direct train service between Tatanagar and Jaipur, despite the high demand. He pointed out the economic contributions of the Rajasthani community in Tatanagar and the overcrowded trains to Delhi via Tatanagar. He urged the Railway Minister to consider these options and take swift action.

Copies of the letter were also sent to Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahto, Jaya Verma Sinha, Chairman and CEO of the Railway Board, Anil Kumar Mishra, General Manager of South Eastern Railway and Arun Jatoh Rathore, Divisional Railway Manager of Chakradharpur Division, South Eastern Railway.
