Jamshedpur, Nov 6: In a significant career milestone, Jamshedpur FC forward Mohammed Sanan has been called up to the Indian senior national team probables ahead of the upcoming AFC Asian Cup 2027 Final Round Qualifiers.
The All India Football Federation (AIFF) confirmed that Sanan, who was earlier named in the India U-23 squad for the friendly matches against Thailand on November 15 and 18, will now join the senior team training camp instead.
The 20-year-old forward has been a standout performer this season for both club and country.
Sanan recently impressed in the AFC U-23 Qualifiers in Doha, where his attacking flair and composure drew praise even as India narrowly missed qualification.
He also represented the nation in international friendlies against Iraq and was part of the senior team camp earlier this year for the crucial matches against Singapore in the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers.
Known for his pace, creativity, and intelligent movement in the final third, Sanan’s inclusion in the senior probables reflects the growing confidence of the national selectors in his potential.
The Indian team will begin its training camp in Bengaluru from Thursday, November 6, before travelling to Dhaka on November 15 to face Bangladesh at the National Stadium on November 18.
Sanan’s call-up marks another proud moment for Jamshedpur FC, reinforcing the club’s reputation for nurturing young Indian talent ready for the international stage.
