Ranchi / Jamshedpur: The Jharkhand government has released an important update regarding the 16th installment of the Maiyya Samman Yojana, a flagship welfare initiative aimed at empowering women across the state.

According to the latest communication from the Department of Women, Child Development, and Social Security, the first phase of payments will be disbursed to beneficiaries belonging to 12 districts, whose verification process has been completed successfully.

Officials have confirmed that Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) verification and bank account authentication for these beneficiaries are complete, and funds are expected to be credited by Jharkhand’s Foundation Day, slated on November 15.

An official notification regarding the transfer schedule will soon be published on the department’s official website.

Beneficiaries from 12 Districts to Receive Payment First

In the initial phase, women from Ranchi, Dhanbad, Deoghar, Bokaro, Gumla, Lohardaga, Jamshedpur (East Singhbhum), Jamtara, Simdega, Chatra, Pakur, and Garhwa districts will receive their Rs 2,500 installment first.

The government prioritized these districts as the verification of beneficiary applications and bank details had already been completed without discrepancies.

Double Benefit for Some Women — Rs 5,000 in One Go

In a relief-oriented move, the state government has announced that women who missed out on the 15th installment will now receive two installments together, totaling Rs 5,000.

This will ensure that no eligible beneficiary is left behind due to technical delays or verification issues.

Women who have already received all prior installments on time will continue to receive the standard Rs 2,500 payment under the scheme.

Empowering Women through Financial Inclusion

Regular financial support under this scheme has not only provided immediate relief to women but has also enhanced their participation in household decision-making and community development.

With the upcoming 16th installment, the state government continues to reaffirm its commitment to women’s empowerment and social welfare, ensuring that every eligible woman beneficiary receives timely financial assistance under the scheme.
