Modi government will return to power with enhanced majority: Rajya Sabha MP Sameer Oraon

Jamshedpur, June 15: With a year to go for general elections, BJP is confident  that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government will come back to power with a greater majority.

Addressing a press meet at a city hotel on Thursday, National President of BJP Scheduled Tribe Morcha and Rajya Sabha MP Sameer Oraon, along with Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato, highlighted the achievements of the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“There is no doubt that the current regime, under Modi’s leadership will come back in the next general elections and probably with a higher majority,” said Sameer Oraon.

The Modi government goes to polls in 2024, after completing two terms in power and governing India for the last decade. 

During the press conference, several prominent BJP members were present, including BJP Jharkhand State Spokesperson Amit Kumar, BJP Jamshedpur Metropolitan President GunjanYadav, former MLA LaxmanTudu, Rural District President SouravChakraborty, District General Secretary cum Campaign District Coordinator Anil Modi, District General Secretary Rakesh Singh, and District Media Incharge PremJha.

MP Sameer Oraon commended the Modi government for its commitment to the welfare and development of all sections of society. He emphasized that the government’s initiatives and global leadership had significantly changed the world’s perception of India. Oraon highlighted the government’s efforts in meeting the needs of villages, the poor, backward tribal women, youth, elders, and farmers, while also empowering the underprivileged.

Moreover, Oraon mentioned the remarkable progress made in technology during the nine years of the Modi government, asserting that India had become self-reliant and climbed to the fifth position among economically developed countries, surpassing the United Kingdom. He expressed confidence that if this progress continued, India would become the world’s third-largest economic superpower by 2030.

The MP also lauded the government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, citing the development of two indigenous vaccines and the distribution of approximately 220 crore doses, including exports to 100 countries. Oraon emphasized that India’s potential and image had been showcased through these achievements.

Highlighting the government’s focus on preserving India’s heritage, Oraon mentioned the upcoming construction of a grand Ram temple in Ayodhya, as well as the development of Kedarnath, Badrinath Dham, Kashi Vishwanath, and Mahakal Lok. He expressed the belief that the clear intentions and policies of the Modi government had generated enthusiasm among all sections of society, ensuring a strong BJP government with a greater number of seats in the upcoming elections.

MP Bidyut Baran Mahato also joined Oraon in enumerating the accomplishments of the Modi government over the past nine years. He highlighted the provision of tap water to 12 crore people, 9.60 crore gas connections through the Ujjwala Yojana, free ration for 80 crore people, IzzatGhar in 11.90 crore houses, Ayushman Yojana cards for 50 crore people, and financial support of six thousand rupees annually to 11 crore farmers.

Furthermore, Mahato outlined the various developmental projects initiated by the central government in the Jamshedpur Lok Sabha constituency. These projects included the construction of National Highway 33, Mahulia to Bahragora road, elevated double-decker corridor from Pardih to Baliguma, Jugsalai railway overbridge, Chakulia underbridge, and the revival of projects such as Surda, Kendadih, Rakha-Chapri, UCIL, and Jaduguda. Mahato also mentioned the reduction in the cost of coronary stents across the country and the establishment of healthcare facilities, including a 100-bed ESIC hospital in Adityapur.

Additionally, he highlighted the allocation of funds for COVID-19 response, such as the purchase of 25 ambulances and the establishment of a Passport Seva Kendra in Jamshedpur. Other projects mentioned included the installation of 120 high mast lights in the entire Lok Sabha constituency, the initiation of the POWERGRID and Power sub-station, and the implementation of the Chhota Govindpur-Baghbera and Musabani water supply schemes. Lastly, Mahato noted the successful completion of the First Women’s University and a Professional College in Jamshedpur.
