Jamshedpur, Sep 2: Model United Nations conference concluded at DAV Public School Bistupur on Saturday, on a high note.
On the conference’s final day, delegates were enthusiastic about showcasing their problem-solving and analytical abilities. They demonstrated a keen interest in examining, analyzing, and debating a diverse range of national and international crises. These aspiring young leaders exhibited a deep commitment to exploring various responses and resolutions for the pressing contemporary issues affecting people worldwide.

The two-day conference witnessed brainstorming sessions, heated debates, discussions and passing of resolutions on national and international issues such as Illegal Immigration in Europe, Israel-Palestine conflict, gender based bias in working environment, sexual harassment against women etc.

Various agendas including China-Taiwan conflict, protection of human rights in the digital sphere, Decarbonization of Energy Resources, Uniform Civil Code and its implementation, India’s G -20 Presidency, Cyber terrorism etc.

In the closing ceremony, the country representatives were awarded with the titles including best delegate, high commendation, special mention, best dressed delegate and verbal mention each for the six committees. The best delegates were Eklavya Amrit (AIPPM) from DAV Bistupur, Aparajita Kumari (UNHRC) from DAV Bistupur, Pragya Sharma (UNSC) from DAV Bistupur, Surabhi Kumari (UNFCCC) from DAV Bistupur, Satyam Dubey (UN Women) from DAV Bistupur and Rishabh Choudhary (UNGA) from Bistupur.

Pragya Singh, ARO of DAV Public Schools in Jharkhand Zone E, who also serves as the Principal of DAV Bistupur emphasized that the true essence of the conference lies not only in the resolutions passed but in the enduring impact they carry forward. She Singh highlighted the invaluable skills acquired, friendships forged, and perspectives gained during DBMUN. She urged the young participants to become catalysts for positive change in society, embodying the principles of diplomacy and collaboration that define DBMUN.
