Mobashir Rahman believes Jamshedpur FC would bounce back stronger against East Bengal FC

Jamshedpur, September 30: After a narrow defeat against Odisha FC, Jamshedpur FC is regrouping to face East Bengal FC in their next Indian Super League match to be played at the JRD Tata Sports Complex here on October 5.

Mubashir Rahman, who made a second-half appearance and played a key role in Jamshedpur’s attempted comeback, remains confident that the Men of Steel will bounce back stronger.

“We are a team with a never-give-up attitude. That was evident in our comeback wins against Mumbai FC and FC Goa. The team spirit is great, and our philosophy is to keep fighting until the final minute,” Rahman stressed.

The midfielder, who was brought in the second half, believes that Jamshedpur had an even chance to snatch a point at least from the match. “I felt we allowed them to control the game in the first half, which gave them confidence. But in the second half, we dominated and pushed hard for the win. We tried our best for them to not grab the win, but we were also unlucky at times.  This shows that when we maintain possession and stay composed, we can beat any team on any day.”

Looking ahead to the next match, Rahman emphasized the importance of regrouping and delivering a strong performance against East Bengal FC. “We need to return with a positive mindset and give our best in the upcoming games. It’s crucial that we address our shortcomings and avoid any lapses. We also must not underestimate any opponent and should never be complacent. If you see the league, no match is predictable,” he said.

He urged the fans to support them through thick and thin to win the next match against East Bengal FC. “We had an amazing crowd against Mumbai FC. Even at Odisha FC there were a huge number of travelling fans. Their support is crucial for us to win and I request them to come and support at the Furnace. I heard East Bengal FC fans will also be travelling. So it is going to be a fantastic atmosphere,” said Rahman.
