Jamshedpur: Mango Notified Area Committee is going to launch a cleanliness drive from 15th July till 30th July. The special campaign is aimed at cleaning the drains across Mango.
The special officer of MNAC Sanjay Kumar said the cleanliness campaign was planned following numerous complaints received from local residents by the MNAC office regarding clogged drains. The residents have sought urgent cleaning of the drains and also demanded measures to control breeding of mosquitoes in the rainy season.
Kumar said complaints have been sought from local residents on a recently launched helpline number. In view of the campaign, a meeting was held with various agencies associated with MNAC on Thursday, he said.
The MNAC officials have appealed to the people to avoid throwing plastics in drains.
