Ranchi, March 18: Following the conclusion of the Budget session of the Jharkhand Assembly on Friday, both the ruling and Opposition leaders seemed to be united lot, as they played Holi and smeared colours on each other. All were drenched in a festive mood and played musical instruments like dhol and majira.
Though several questions of the people of the state remained unanswered during the budget session, none of the leaders regretted it and played Holi with full gusto. Chief Minister Raghubar Das seemed to enjoy the moment the most.
Jharkhand Assembly session set the record for the longest session and a record was also made for the creating the most chaos. After the proceedings were adjourned for an indefinite period on Friday, the Assembly was soaked in the spirit of Holi, five days before the actual festival.
Jharkhand Assembly Speaker Dinesh Oraon played Holi with Urban Development Minister CP Singh, while Raghubar Das celebrated the occasion with several MLAs.
Talking to the media after the celebration, Das appealed to all the people of the state to celebrate the occasion with fervour.
