MLA Purnima Sahu Condemns Agrico Triple Murder; Demands Harshest Punishment

Jamshedpur: Expressing grief and outrage, Jamshedpur East MLA Purnima Sahu visited the Agrico crime scene on Tuesday to assess the situation following the brutal triple murder that has stunned the city. The legislator strongly condemned the actions of the accused, Ravindra Singh, calling the incident “unimaginable and deeply disturbing.”

“No Place in a Civilized Society”

Speaking to reporters at the site, MLA Sahu expressed disbelief over the accused’s alleged statement to authorities that the killings occurred “by mistake.” She noted that while the retired Tata Steel employee was reportedly struggling with mental instability since his retirement, the sheer brutality of the act—sparing not even his pregnant daughter—demands the strictest possible legal retribution.

“If violence becomes a solution, then one must ask where society is heading,” Sahu remarked. She emphasized that individuals capable of such inhuman cruelty have no place in a civilized society, adding, “A person who does not spare even his own pregnant daughter does not deserve a place even in hell.”

Demands for Swift Justice

The MLA urged the Jamshedpur Police and district administration to ensure the case is fast-tracked. She stressed that the punishment should serve as a stern warning and send a powerful message that heinous crimes of this nature will face zero tolerance.

The visit comes amidst growing local concern regarding:

  • Mental Health Advocacy: The need for better support systems for retirees.

  • Family Conflict Resolution: Addressing deep-seated domestic issues before they escalate into violence.

  • Societal Responsibility: Strengthening moral accountability within neighborhoods.

The brutal killings of Sarita Singh, Supriya Singh, and Ravishek Kumar have left the residents of Agrico in a state of shock, with many joining the MLA’s call for decisive justice.
