Jamshedpur, Feb 2: In a commendable operation, Jamshedpur Police successfully traced and rescued a 14-year-old missing boy from Maharashtra and reunited him with his parents.
According to police sources, the minor had gone missing on January 9, from the Sakchi area.
Following a written complaint lodged by the boy’s father at Sakchi Police Station on January 12, a case was registered under Section 137(2) of the BNSS, and an intensive search operation was launched.
Despite initial efforts yielding no clues, a special investigation team was constituted under the supervision of senior police officials.
The team conducted extensive checks, including CCTV footage analysis at markets, bus stands, railway stations, and other possible locations. Technical inputs and inter-state coordination played a crucial role in the investigation.
Based on technical leads, the boy’s location was traced to Buldhana district in Maharashtra.
Acting swiftly, the police team, with the help of local authorities, recovered the minor safely and brought him back to Jamshedpur, where he was handed over to his parents in good health.
Police officials stated that the operation reflects the department’s commitment to child safety and effective use of technology and coordination in missing person cases.
