Jamshedpur, May 22: In a disturbing incident, unidentified assailants on Tuesday night targeted the residence of Bipin Tanna, a resident of New Ranikudar Road No. 3 in Kadma, firing bullets at his house.

The assailants, wearing masks and riding a motorcycle, fired shots that struck the wall of Bipin’s house. Upon discovering the incident, Bipin promptly informed the authorities, prompting a swift response from the police who arrived at the scene to initiate an investigation. Police recovered a shell from the site as evidence.

Bipin has accused his former business associates, Prabhas Singh and Brij Kumar, both residents of Sidhgora in Kadma, of being behind the attack. Bipin, who operates a bar, recounted a previous business arrangement where Prabhas and Brij allegedly defrauded him of money intended for a joint venture to open a bar. Despite efforts to resolve the matter through official channels, including a complaint to the SSP and a subsequent settlement at Bistupur police station, Bipin claims that Prabhas and Brij failed to return the embezzled funds.

Allegedly owed Rs 12 lakh by Prabhas and Rs 15.40 lakh by Brij, Bipin had demanded repayment, leading to threats of violence from the accused.

The police investigation into the incident is ongoing, with efforts underway to apprehend the perpetrators and ensure justice for Bipin Tanna.
