Jamshedpur: A 14 year old boy, identified as Kundan Kumar Prasad, 14, a pupil of Indira Vidya Jyoti School, drowned in River Kharkai on Saturday.
Sources said the minor had gone to the river to take bath. When he started drowning, he shouted for help. Before anyone could rush to save him, he was long drowned.
Police tried to search for the body of the minor with the help of local divers. The body could not be found till late evening.
The deceased was a resident of Gandhi Nagar under Bagbera police station area.
