Ranchi: State animal husbandry, fishery and crisis management minister Mannan Mallik today organized a janata durbar (public hearing) at Congress Bhavan and issued instructions to the department officials to dispose pending cases as soon as possible.
A large number of people attended the hearing with pleas related to various problems pertaining to the different departments of the minister. Technology assistants too, met the minister and discussed the issue of their recruitment. They said the orders of the Supreme Court were being violated by the state government.
People from as far as Simdega, Garhwa, Khunti and Palamu reached the janata durbar venue. Ranchi residents too, met the minister and discussed their problems in the public hearing.
The minister said the state government was planning to set up a milk city in a bid to encourage animal husbandry.
