Jamshedpur: Jai Prakash Sahu, a city journalist who died yesterday following a prolonged ailment, was cremated at Parvati Ghat, Bistupur, on Saturday.
A large number of journalists, politicians, social workers and other citizens were present during the last rites.
Sahu was suffering from a gastric complication. He was under treatment at Bramhananda Narayana Hrudayalaya Hospital at Tamulia. He died during treatment.
City journalists will pay tributes to Sahu during a condolence meet on 16th June at Nirmal Guest House.
Sahu was associated with several local Hindi dailies for a long time.
