Jamshedpur, Mar 29: A murder occurred in the Sidhgora police station area, where a 52-year-old man was brutally killed with stones near the Surya Temple at Kanta Maidan. The deceased, identified as Bijay Kumar Nandrajog alias Rinku, was a resident of Bagunhatu Road No. 1 and worked in the Sakchi fruit market.
The incident came to light early Friday morning when locals discovered the bloodied body and informed the police. Officers arrived at the scene, conducted an investigation and sent the body for post-mortem. Family members later identified the victim.
According to Bijay’s cousin, Manoj Kumar, he used to leave for work at 9 AM daily on his bicycle and return by 9 PM. On Thursday night, when he did not return, the family searched for him but found no trace. Eventually, they reported his disappearance to the police. The discovery of his body the next morning has left the community in shock and police are conducting a thorough investigation to identify the perpetrators.
