Chaibasa, Aug 19: A delegation of Jharkhand Rajya MGNREGA Karmchari Mahasangh (JRMKM) led by district president Shambhu Gope met legislator Dipak Birua at Sarnadih and handed him a letter of demands including job permanency. The other demands mentioned in the list include government provisions like social security in the forms of life and health insurance, prevention of layoffs, unconditional reemployment of MGNREGA workers being some of them.
Dipak Birua assured the delegation members that he would take up their matter with the Rural Development Minister. The legislator also wrote a letter to the Minister urging him that the issues of the MGNREGA workers who had been working on various development projects under the scheme for 12 years be considered sympathetically.
