Maximum number of dengue patients from Jamshedpur’s Mango

27 teams deployed in the district to spray larvicide, search operation

Jamshedpur, August 14: Maximum number of dengue larvae are being found in Mango area. Regarding this, two teams have been deployed by the Health Department in that area, which are spraying anti-larvae daily.

According to the employees, dengue larvae are being found in most of the houses of Hillview Colony, Repeat Colony. On Saturday, 601 houses in both the places were surveyed. Dengue positive larvae were found in 31 of these houses.

During this, 1274 containers were checked. Of these, 70 containers were found in which larvae of the dengue spreading mosquito were found. They were destroyed.

The team made 940 people aware about dengue.

East Singhbhum civil surgeon Dr. Jujhar Manjhi said that efforts are on at every level to prevent dengue in the district.

All the hospitals have been instructed that if a patient with symptoms of dengue is found in any hospital, then send his sample to the District Surveillance Department and get it checked.

The surveillance department sent samples of 39 suspected dengue patients of the district to MGM Medical College for examination on Saturday. Of these, 22 patients are residents of Chakulia. At the same time, samples of seven suspected patients of Golmuri, eight of Mango and two of Seraikela have been sent for examination.

Some patients of Chakulia are being treated at the Community Health Center and some at their homes. And the remaining 17 people are being treated at Gurunanak Hospital, Tinplate Hospital and Brahmanand Hospital.

Civil surgeon has asked all the center in-charges to spray anti-larvae in their respective areas as well as to make the patients coming for treatment in the OPD aware about dengue.

On Saturday, 13 positive patients were found in the district. This includes a six-year-old child. They are being treated in other hospitals including TMH, Telco, Tinplate. The positive include two patients from Seraikela, one from Bokaro, two from Chakulia, one from Musabani, three from Mango, two from Kadma, one each from Sonari and Baridih.

So far 1387 suspected dengue patients have been investigated in the district. In this, 174 people have been found dengue positive. In this, 21 are from other districts, the remaining 153 are patients from this district.

The department’s team reached Jamshedpur to investigate suspected dengue patients in Galudih.

The District Malaria Department received information that three suspected dengue patients are undergoing treatment at Galudih Niramay Health Care Center, whose platelet count is very low. On getting information about this, the team of District Surveillance Department and Malaria Department reached Galudih Niramay Health Care Center, where after seeing his report, it was found that his platelet is fine. At the same time, samples of all the three suspected patients were taken for their dengue test.
