Jamshedpur, August 12: On the fourth Monday of the holy month of Shravan, Jamshedpur’s renowned Jambu Akhara Committee organized a grand Kalash Yatra and Jalabhishek ceremony at the Shri Shri Lingeshwarnath Temple. The event, led by Chief Patron Amarpreet Singh Kale and Patron Bunty Singh, saw the participation of 5,001 women devotees.
The celebration began with traditional rituals at the temple, followed by a vibrant Kalash Yatra. Devotees, accompanied by band music, collected water from the Swarnarekha river and proceeded through key city areas, including Mango Bada Golchakkar, MGM, and Apex Hospital, before returning to the temple.
The procession featured two sets of traditional music bands, a DJ vehicle and a tableau depicting Lord Shiva. At the temple, special arrangements were made for the Jalabhishek ceremony, allowing devotees to offer water to Baba Lingeshwarnath.
Notable participants included social workers Shiv Shankar Singh and Pappu Singh, along with various community members. The temple committee distributed prasad to all devotees.
