Jamshedpur : Marwari Yuva Manch Steel City is hosting the All India Marwari Yuva Manch National Executive Meeting that kicked off at Sakchi Agrasen Bhavan.
National president Ravi Agarwal inaugurated the meet.
During the meeting with former President Om Agarwal, Pramod Shah, Balram Sultania, Anil Jajodia, including Ashok Kataria, along with 100 youth activists are participating. Members from various regions like Bhubaneswar, Sambalpur, Guwahati, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Raipur, Pondicherry, Patna, Jamshedpur Chaibasa are participating. The former national president Nandakishore Agrawal and branch president Manish Bansal welcomed the delegates. The meeting focussed on empowering youths.
They expressed a need to raise awareness about the skewed male-female ratio, hoping to make a small difference to the nationwide campaign against the evil of female foeticide.
‘We must not hold modern medical invention responsible for female foeticide. Rather, we should take steps to change the mindset of women who are unwilling to give birth to a female child after undergoing sex determination tests,’ said a member.
They said the only way to exterminate this social evil was to persuade women to come forward and lead a mass awareness campaign.
It may be mentioned that Marwari Yuva Manch, a city-based social and cultural organisation, is dedicated towards women empowerment. It regularly undertakes series of programme for the welfare of the society.
