The state is reeling under a drought and the water level has dropped drastically ruining the farmers rabi crop, Marandi said, adding, Jharkhand government is running without any system and working just for a few industrialists and is set to dispose of the rights of the poor.

Marandi was leading a protest of the JVM (P) here before the Seraikela-Kharsawan deputy commissioners office along with other party leaders including Bandhu Tirkey, Abhay Singh, Jatashankar Pandey, Bhabhua Singh, Alok Vajpayee and thousands of party workers and activists.

The former CM further said that government doesnt have time to listen to the issues of the common man. They submitted a three-point charter of demands to the deputy commissioner and demanded quick action.
