Mantu promises free dispensary in Sakchi Gurudwara campus, medicines at ‘no profit no loss’

Jamshedpur, June 10: Harvinder Singh Mantu, candidate for the upcoming election for Pradhan of Sakchi Gurdwara Committee, on Friday said that he is the servant of the Sikh Community and never supports corruption in any form.

The election for the new Pradhan of the Sakchi Gurudwara is scheduled for June 12.

Addressing a press meet, Mantu stated that he wants to serve the Guru Ghar (Gurudwara and people of the community), and is confident that people will give us a chance to serve again.

“With the blessings of Guru Maharaj and people of the community during COVID-19 pandemic the development work of Sakchi Gurudwara continued. Ten air-conditioned rooms were constructed during the pandemic which is benefitting the kirtan groups who travel to the city. It was during the Covid-19 that ration and essentials were delivered to the doorstep of needy,” said Mantu.

He further said that during his tenure a 105 ft hydraulic Nishan Sahib was installed.

Talking about the future plan, Mantu said his priority will be development of Modern School and help get affiliation of ICSE or CBSE board.  He went to say that Gurudwara Hall will be made fully air-conditioned and will also host several kirtan programmes dedicated to martyrs of community and our Gurus.

“We plan to open dispensary in Sakchi Gurudwara premises to provide free treatment and give medicines at no profit and no loss basis,” said Mantu, adding, “Gurudwara Hall for wedding will be provided totally free of cost to needy families for their daughter’s wedding.”   

Gurdev Singh Raja, former vice president of Jharkhand State Minority Commission, said people of the community have been supporting Mantu and we are confident that he will definitely win.
