Jamshedpur, June 10: Sikh community members gave the city police a deadline till 10 am tomorrow for arresting all the killers of Manpreet Pal Singh of Sidhgora.
Central Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (CGPC) Pradhan Gurmukh Singh Mukhe said Manpreet’s murder in his house was a brazen act and it showed the failure of the district administration. He said the Sikh community members had unanimously decided to wait for arrests till tonight. Tomorrow, a meeting would be held at 10 am to further decide on agitation strategy, he said.
Mukhe said the community members would stage demonstration before the SSP office in case police fail to arrest the culprits.
Soni Kaur, mother of late Manpreet, said she would not see the face of her deceased son till all his killers are sent behind the bars. She said his son would be cremated only after the arrest of all culprits. She further said that Rahul Singh and other accused persons had come to her house chasing his son and created ruckus with arms in his hand.
“I shut the door and informed police that Rahul wants to kill my son. But police did not come. After half an hour, all accused broke into my hour and showered bullets on Manpreet,” she said.
