Jamshedpur, April 11: Sports committee of National Law University, Odisha, organised the 6th edition of their Inter University Annual Sports fest, VIRAJ, 2023, held from 6 to 9 April, 2023, in Cuttack, Odisha. Contingents from Manipal Tata Medical College ( MTMC) were declared overall champions.
Dr Sunita Tripathi, Dean in-charge, MTMC, Jamshedpur, Dr Rajiva Dwivedi, Director of Academic, Administration and Quality, MTMC, Jamshedpur and Priyanka Singhal – Consultant HR provided constant support without which this endeavour would not have been possible.
Dr. Sindhu R, Dr. Hirok Chakraborty and Dr. Sayan Kumar Das, Sport Secretaries, Neelam Goel, Santosha C, Ms Kalaivani, Assistant Directors of Physical Education, played a pivotal role in making this endeavour a success by their constant work.
MTMC declared as the best overall contingent at Viraj 2023, NLU, Odisha. The MTMC contingent managed a haul of a total of 29 medals (6 gold, 9 silver, and 14 bronze medals) in the various events with Yashdeep, 3rd year MBBS student, winning a total of 5 gold medals.
