Gamharia, Feb 15: A major fire broke out in Vishwanath Enterprises, a plastic factory, near Gopinathpur village on the Kandra-Seraikela main road late Tuesday night. Goods worth several lakhs were gutted in the fire. However no casualty was reported in the incident. Two fire tenders rushed to douse the fire.

Sources said the fire started around 1 am. Local residents noticed flames coming out of the factory. Before they could understand anything, the fire spread fast and got bigger. A large number of villagers gathered at the scene and tried to control the fire. The villagers informed Kandra police and fire department about the incident. The fire could not be controlled till this morning.
