Major drug bust in Sitaramdera: Seven arrested with brown sugar

Jamshedpur: In a significant operation, the police conducted a raid in Kalindi Basti under the jurisdiction of Sitaramdera police station in Jamshedpur, resulting in the arrest of seven individuals involved in the possession and distribution of brown sugar. The apprehended suspects are identified as Sujit Mukhi from Harijan Basti, Bhuinyadih Sangam Kalindi, Ganesh Kauleth from Balle Complex, Prabhat Mahanti alias Aman, Bipin Bagh, Rakesh Kohli, and Akash Mahato alias Sunny.

The police, acting on confidential information, learned of illicit activities related to the sale of brown sugar in Kanlidi colony. Acting swiftly on the tip-off, law enforcement officers conducted a raid that led to the apprehension of the suspects. During the operation, the police successfully seized 45 bags of brown sugar from the arrested individuals.

Notably, Rakesh Kohli and Sujit Mukhi have a history of involvement in the sale of brown sugar and have previously served jail sentences for their illicit activities.
