Hemant meets and congratulates women MLAs
Ranchi, March 7: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren informed the Jharkhand assembly during its budget session on Friday that amount of Maiyan Samman will start reaching account of beneficiaries from Saturday.
He said that tomorrow is Women’s Day as well as the festival of Ramzan is going on and it is also Holi, so that there is a smile on the faces of women on the festival, the amount of Mainiya Samman will start going to their account. The amount will go to the account of all women before Holi.
Hemant Soren said that the errors in the maiyan samman have been removed.
Earlier, many MLAs had urged the government in the House to tell when the amount of Mahila Samman Yojana will reach the beneficiaries.
The money of the scheme was stuck for three months. Along with the opposition, MLAs of the ruling party were also raising questions about this.

The Chief Minister gave this assurance while answering the question of JMM MLA Mangal Kalindi in the Assembly. He said that the money was not coming due to technical fault, which has now been fixed. The Chief Minister also met the women members of the Legislative Assembly and congratulated them on International Women’s Day.
Here, apart from the Mainiya Samman Yojana, the Chief Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to women empowerment. During the meeting with women MLAs in the Assembly, he praised the role of women. He said that women are progressing in every field of society and bringing glory to the state. The Chief Minister congratulated all the women MLAs on International Women’s Day. He said that the presence of women in the Assembly is a symbol of women power.
The Chief Minister expressed pride in the achievements of women and said that the government is ready to help in every possible way for the development of women. He said that whether it is economic sector, social sector, political sector, educational sector, cultural sector or sports field, the women of Jharkhand are leaving their mark everywhere.
Many women ministers and MLAs were present on the occasion, including Deepika Pandey, Shilpi Neha Tirkey, Kalpana Soren, Dr. Neera Yadav, Louis Marandi, Savita Mahato, Ragini Singh, Mamta Devi, Purnima Das Sahu, Shweta Singh and Manju Kumari.
Later in the assembly, the chief minister said that a plan has been made for the betterment of women selling Hadiya (locally brewed liquor from mahua leaves) on the roadside. But some women are coming back to this work again.
“We will find out the reason for that,” said Soren.
The CM said that there has been a tradition of offering Hadiya to tribal deities. But there is no culture of selling it on the roadside.
Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi raised the issue regarding this and said that it is not right to call selling Hadiya on the roadside a culture.
The matter of murder of two sadhus of Anand Marg in Chanho, Ranchi raised in the House
BJP MLA Naveen Jaiswal raised the matter of murder of two sadhus in Chanho, Ranchi. He said that even sadhus and saints are not safe in the state. On this, the Parliamentary Affairs Minister Radha Krishna Kishore said that four people have been arrested in this case and two are out of police custody.
Radha Krishna Kishore assured the House that he will call Ranchi SSP and take full information and strict action will be taken against those involved in this.
Congress MLA Rameshwar Oraon said that the construction of Sirmatoli flyover is affecting the Sarna Sthal, which is the center of faith of the tribal society. Supporting him, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Radha Krishna Kishore requested the Speaker to give a regulation to immediately stop the construction.
The Speaker also agreed to this, and said that he gave a regulation to ensure that the Sarna Sthal is not disrupted in any way.
